Central Palm Beach County Village

Apartments in Palm Springs, FL

Welcome to Palm Springs, a compact Palm Beach County village between Lake Worth Beach and West Palm Beach with a diverse, family-friendly housing mix.

Palm Springs is a village in the east-central portion of Palm Beach County, Florida, set just inland from Lake Worth Beach and immediately southwest of West Palm Beach. The village is small and fully developed, spanning roughly 1.6 square miles, and functions as a dense, convenient residential community within the broader West Palm Beach urban area. It sits north of Atlantis, east of Greenacres, and west of Lake Clarke Shores and Lake Worth Beach, giving residents quick access to several neighboring municipalities and the services concentrated along the county's coastal corridor. The village incorporated in the mid-twentieth century and built out over the following decades. Its name was likely borrowed from the better-known resort city of Palm Springs, California, and it reached its early projected population of about 10,000 residents by the late 1990s. Today the community has grown well beyond that mark into a mix of single-family homes, townhomes, apartments, and condominiums. That variety of housing makes the village accessible to people at different life stages, from young families and working professionals to longtime residents and retirees. Palm Springs has also developed a notably diverse population, including a significant Hispanic and Latino community, which adds to the fabric of local businesses, churches, and civic life. Because the village is landlocked and compact, it reads as a busy suburban community rather than a sprawling one. Residents rely on the surrounding cities and unincorporated areas for much of their larger shopping, dining, and recreation, while enjoying the benefit of living at the geographic center of the county's most populated corridor. The School District of Palm Beach County, one of the largest in Florida, serves the community, and proximity to Interstate 95, Florida's Turnpike, and Palm Beach International Airport keeps the broader region within easy reach. For households seeking convenience, diversity, and a settled central location, Palm Springs offers a practical home base in the heart of Palm Beach County.
